I can already tell that 2019 is going to be full of amazing skincare products and new releases. Last year was filled with trends, from Tatcha to Glossier, the list goes on and on. This year however, has brought some great things already to start off 2019. Here are a few!
1. Clean Beauty Clean beauty has made its way into Sephora, and will definitely attract many consumers. Clean skincare products are free of chemicals, and are completely plant based, which is becoming more and more popular as time goes on. 2. Genetic Based Skincare This new trend looks at your medical history in skincare, and uses the results to give you personalized products. 3. Minimalist Skincare Instead of using tons of products, the saying, "less is more" will come into play. 2018 was the complete opposite; people stocked up on products and used a lot on their face to cover their daily routine. However as skincare progresses, the products will become more minimalistic, as its unnecessary to use extra products. 4. Light Therapy Will Continue To Be Used Light therapy has been around for a while, but will become more advanced throughout 2019. Dermatologists believe that light therapy will help heal your skin. By combining different colored lights, you're able to see faster results. There are many different things you can change in your life, that will put a better impact on your skin. By applying these differences, you're able to have a better chance of seeing the skin you want. Here are a few:
Taking care of your skin is so important! Here are 5 rules you should follow.
Rule #1: Know Your Skin type Knowing your skin type is important, because you need to know which products are right for you. A lot of people make the mistake of not knowing their skin type, and deciding to use random products. This can lead to breakouts! Rule #2: DRINK WATER! I can't tell you enough that drinking water is super important to your skincare routine. You might hear this rule a lot, but I'm telling you; it does make a difference. Try to drink at least 2L of water per day. You can read more about the importance of water intake here: why-you-should-add-water-to-your-skincare-routine.html Rule #3: Exfoliate Exfoliating your skin, is something you should do every week. If you have oily skin, you can exfoliate two to three times a week. If you have dry skin, you should exfoliate once a week. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells that block your pores. It also gives you a brighter complexion as well. Just make sure that you aren't scrubbing your face too hard, because you can damage your skin. Rule #4: ALWAYS Take Your Makeup Off Before You Go To Sleep This rule is SO IMPORTANT! A lot of people are too lazy to take off their makeup before they go to bed...which is disgusting. Leaving makeup on your face can damage your skin and give you nasty breakouts. It doesn't matter if you wear makeup that day or not; always cleanse. Rule #5: Don't Squeeze Sometimes, we get frustrated with that annoying pimple that won't go away. That's fine, but make sure you aren't picking or trying to pop it. By squeezing the spot, your skin will 'crack' and the inflammation will worsen. You'll also most likely be left with a scar, or discoloration. We always hear how water is the biggest trick models use to achieve their flawless skin. But why? Here are 5 reasons you should increase your water intake.
Reason #1: Water replenishes the skin tissue. Water delivers essential nutrients to skin cells, giving you a glowing complexion. Without enough water intake, your skin may appear duller. Reason #2: Water flushes out toxins. Water flushes out the toxins and waste in your body, which can help clear your skin. Reason #3: Water hydrates your skin. You can achieve soft and supple skin; and by drinking enough water, it can prevent your skin from drying out and cracking. Reason #4: Proper hydration keeps skin dense and elastic. This helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Reason #5: Drinking water helps to enrich cells, maintain proper circulation, and ensure healthy internal organs and digestion. Drinking enough water is extremely important! Increasing your water intake can improve your health by a lot, and will give you a glowing complexion as well. |
